These drawings show the later development of the design, with heavier ballast keel and without the doghouse.  Design variations included the infill of the keel-skeg aperture (recommended) as well as transom hung rudder.  The E26 was identical to the E24 except fopr a straight 2ft long section amidships.  This is OK but it looks better to allow the lines to spring outwards to give another 2-3 inches on the beam amidships


Even with the revised ballast keel there is scope for extra ballast.  If this is internal and moveable it can help cope with weather helm.
